We had a three minute hail storm and we figured if we didn’t take a picture quick it would be melted.
James even made a snowball out of it.

It’s Christmas eve eve dude! We just got lots MORE snow. The snow drifts are 3 to 5 feet deep!

So here we are on the second day of winter. We are having our fifth snow storm this month.
We are drowning in snow and mud. The mud is so bad everyone on the block has been stuck at least once. The road has 6 to 12 inch deep ruts. Our van scrapes the road as we drive.

It is snowing and the Christmas lights look so pretty.
It is always amazing how a snowstorm can cripple us here in New Mexico. The last few days we have had a big storm. We had flurries off and on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday afternoon we could see the storm coming and we thought we would get a lot of snow. Yet within an hour of it snowing the clouds broke and we could see the sun setting and I figured the snow was over. This morning (Monday) we woke up to 6 inches of snow and it was still snowing. Within two hours the interstate was closed.
The kids love a good snowstorm. By the time I was out of my bedroom, the kids had all the snowsuits out and had been playing in the snow for over an hour.
Today is the first day of May. We are still tired from doing child care for the stake temple day. We are having a lazy day at home.
The only spoiler is that it is SNOWING! It is something weird to have snow in May!
Monday night it started to snow. Now Wednesday morning the clouds are starting to move out. It is 0° outside. Talk about cold! This is a picture of Orion, he just can’t get enough of the snow.
Well another year has passed and here we are at Thanksgiving again. The children woke up so excited this morning it snowed! Needless to say it is cold. We are all enjoying the pellet stove and Sirius Holy music.
Several years ago we went to Mom and Dads house for Thanksgiving. Mom was the Relief Society President. Her Ward had decided to have a dinner at the church that day. Lynn loved the idea and thought our Ward should do the same. Well this year Lynn’s dad is in charge of the activities for the Stake. So guess what we are doing for Thanksgiving, having a BIG dinner at the church. Everyone around here has been cooking all week. We are cooking 15 Turkeys, 200 pounds of potatoes, 50 pounds of bread, 75 pies, and this for a potluck dinner! Hopefully the dinner goes well, I won’t be going I broke my ribs last week and can’t take a car ride (it sucks). I bet the dinner will go very well.
